Two years ago (January 2019) we started the adoption process. One year ago (January 2020) our sweet Annelise was born.
Now in March 2021, we find ourselves beginning the adoption process again, this time with a bit more knowledge of the complexity of grief and joy, and a bit more practical know-how.
On the other hand, we are in very much the same place we were two years ago–clueless to how the story will play out and humbly in need of help to bring this child home.
We are working with a trustworthy Florida agency. A plus of working with one agency (as opposed to using a consultant and multiple agencies as we did last go 'round) is that we know what to expect as far as funds needed: from start to finish, just over $30,000. A whole lot of money to us; a drop in the bucket to our God. The goal is to raise that money before August 1 for reasons we hope to disclose sooner rather than later.
