We are so excited to FINALLY announce some big news! WE ARE ADOPTING! We are currently working on finishing up or paperwork, scheduling home study visits, and working on completing our online profile through our agency and then we become active!
Adoption is something that has been on our hearts for quite some time. Before our son was born, we had begun the discussion and now, after multiple losses, we feel that adoption was placed on our hearts for a reason. We believe that this is the path that we are meant to travel down in order to extend our family. We have been praying about the process and are thrilled to become parents again.
When it comes to adoption, when done ethically, the process is expensive. We have been saving for months now, but we are now asking for some monetary support from our tribe. We have set a fundraising goal of $20,000, as our adoption is estimated to cost $50,000. We know that amount is shocking and when we first saw it, we thought, “Is this doable?” We quickly then turned to the thought that we have a huge support system full of people who love us and provide us with unending support and with your help we can definitely do this! We are doing several fundraisers: a puzzle to hang in the nursery, yard sale, and t-shirt. This is where you can make donations for the puzzle fundraiser. If you are able to donate anything, big or small, please know that it is all going directly towards bringing our baby home.
