One more.
Earlier this year we were wrestling with the fact that our family did not feel complete but to adopt again would be a larger than normal financial burden on our family since we have transitioned to one income. When I say we wrestled with this decision, I mean we wrestled. It was probably the hardest 'yes' to date. We know we have everything else we need to add one more, but finances are tight and an adoption is expensive.
We sat on the fence about it for several months. We prayed. We talked. We prayed more.
In our praying we did not hear God give us an "answer" but the longing to add another child to our family only grew. I would say that may be as close to God's answer as we were going to get. It was just about a month ago that we decided we would take the risk. We would bet on God.
One of the values we live by is Audacious Faith: We will not insult God with safe living and small dreaming. We will be faith filled, big thinking, bet the farm leaders who believe in a God who can do the impossible, we just need to ask.
So, this is us asking God if he would make a financial way. And one way God shows up is through people. We know that. We have seen that over and over again. We have seen three miracles of this exact kind, to date.
So today we trade our worrying for praying and we humbly invite anyone who feels inclined to join us in prayer to call on the name of the Lord for the finances we need to complete another adoption.
