Cintia started to help as a volunteer in an orphanage in Brazil when she was 13 years old and by the age of 17, she knew that she wanted to adopt. A few weeks after we started dating, we talked about adoption and we felt really strong that this is how we would like to grow our family. Jeremey really wants to be a father and embraced the idea of adopting and started checking the avenues for adoption.
Sometimes we see a straight line to our goal when in reality there are many curves, valleys and mountains that we can only pass with Gods guidance. We started our adoption journey in August 2023 when we started looking into the possibilities. We realized that this would be harder than we thought. A few doors closed and other doors opened. In April 2024 we decided to use an adoption consultant for our adoption despite the high cost and our own financial limitations. In June 2024 we finished our home study and signed with our consultant.
Our intention is to invite YOU to be PART of this journey of adoption WITH us. Whether that is through PRAYER (praying for us daily for wisdom, discernment, for the safety & health of our future child and birth mother), or SHARING our story (We ask you to share our story with your friends and family on social media, asking them to share as well), or GIVING (through financially donating through this tax-deductible platform) we want YOU to join us in our journey.
As a memento for our baby, we took a picture of the nest used to carry our wedding bands during the wedding and plan to create a puzzle of it. Behind it, we will add the individual's or families' donors name(s) from this crowdfunding campaign.
We hope to keep you updated; via this fundraising site, and share with you when a child will be placed in our arms. We will be continuing the fundraising until the adoption is finalized.
