We have BIG news! We are in the process of adopting two boys from Colombia! They are biological brothers who have never been separated. We are grateful that the four of us will become a family! The boys will travel to the United States in December to spend a few weeks with us and celebrate Christmas, and we plan to travel (God willing) to Colombia in early February or March to bring them home for good.

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome them into our home and into our wider circle of family and friends. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that this adoption process will cost approximately $50,000, which is why we have set a goal of $15,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our sons.

Update (12/24/2021) - We have been moving through the adoption process at warp speed! The older of our two boys turns 18 in March, so when we began the adoption process in October, we were informed that the ENTIRE process needed to be completed before then in order for both boys to be adopted together; otherwise, the older boy will age out of the childcare system and be ineligible for adoption. We have been working round the clock, and at times, there was doubt we would be able to complete everything in time. The GOOD NEWS is that we have cleared most of the major hurdles, and our letter of intent was accepted by the adoption committee in Colombia. Our I800A application was also approved by USCIS. So…everything is on-track! We hope to travel to Colombia in mid-February!
