So, some of you may be wondering where do all the expenses come from. It is a lot of legal fees, paperwork, traveling for adoption agency staff, living expenses for birth Mom etc. One of the main things is, that Erica does get benefits through work, however they are not your typical maternity leave benefits. She will only get PTO for the hours that she has accrued. As many of you know, once you have children, it is hard to regain hours used for sickness, weather etc. It is the same type of leave as one would take to take care of a sick parent.
In the process of adopting our son, Augustine (3yrs) it was both amazing and scary. We couldn't have asked a greater gift from God. We are also blessed because this sweet baby girl is a biological cousin to Augustine! We know that God's plan is the best plan and we trust in Him. With God's help and grace, we will have the strength to move forward and continue to grow with this sweet baby girl on the way. They say it takes a village, so we thank you again for your consideration and we pray for you.
