We are so excited to start this journey as we grow our family through adoption! While Jonathan and I were dating, we talked about how one day we could see God using adoption as part of our story…

So many of you know that the past few years have brought deep heartbreak as we have lost three babies. When we lost our daughter Ella, we started to pray about what this journey could look like for us. We have so much peace and confidence that God is calling us to no longer grow our family through pregnancy, but to welcome home a sweet baby that a brave and selfless mother will give us the honor of being called Mom and Dad to. It’s been beautiful to watch our boys’ hearts be drawn towards adoption as well. Oliver already prays every night for whatever baby God will bring to our family and that He will keep the mommy who has the baby in her belly safe. * Cue tears *

We are asking that more than anything, you also pray with us as we are on this journey. We are praying for wisdom and discernment in every step. We also ask that you pray for whoever our birth mother will be…that she will feel loved by Jesus and by us as she courageously chooses life for her child. We also just ask for prayer in provision as we step into the unkown territory on applications, home studies, fees, and placements.

We just completed our home study, and are looking into all the amazing options our social worker is sending our way. Pray specifically that God leads us in the right direction.
