Having been connected to adoption through various friends and family for all of our lives, we have always felt that we would grow our family through adoption. After Amanda gave birth to “B”, our sweet surprise, several years ago, we felt adoption might be the path God was leading us down next in the future. After beginning almost a year of research and educating ourselves on ethical adoption and everything involved, we felt that we finally had a good support system, knowledge, and ability to walk this journey. A couple months later at a routine exam, Amanda received some news about her autoimmune & reproductive health that helped us solidify in our minds and hearts what we’d already decided - it would like be wisest and healthiest for her not to attempt another pregnancy - and it helped us walk into adoption with even more confidence that this is what the Lord had planned for our family all along. We are SO excited to be parents again! It has been our greatest joy in life to lavish love on our precious child and would love to expand that to another child of our own and their birth family in whatever way is possible. Through our relationships with friends and family who are birth parents, we have learned SO much about God’s big love for birth families and expectant mamas who are considering an adoption plan, and we hope to have openness in that relationship. Birth parents pay a lifelong, invaluable price by making an adoption plan for their children out of deep love for them. We wanted to work with an agency that honors and supports expectant parents pre- and post-placement.
We have already covered a significant portion of fees that we knew to expect with our own resources & fundraisers but we would love for you to come alongside us financially and prayerfully, as we still have matching, agency, travel, and (hopefully) finalization expenses in our future! If you’d like to share our fundraiser with friends who are passionate about adoption, please do so! We have seen God meet our needs as they arise in such an amazing way, and we’ve learned one thing: God has chosen to use people - those we know and those we don’t - to meet this need which is humbling and terrifying and amazingly beautiful. He has made our fears look small as we’ve walked in faith and continue to walk in faith that God is about to grow our hearts and grow our family tree into an orchard! - Montana & Amanda
