We are leaving soon to adopt and bring home our daughter from China. It is such a blessing to announce that Sunshine Ray will be joining our family and become a Josselyn on December 22nd, 2019! Such an incredible Christmas gift for us.
This whole process has happened a lot quicker than we first anticipated, yet we are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome her into our hearts and home. Our four girls are looking forward to having their little sister, Sunny, join our family and have been busy re-arranging their rooms as we prepare for her homecoming.
We appreciate all of your words of encouragement, prayers and support during our adoption. Some have asked how they can assist us financially, especially as they plan their end-of-the-year-giving. For that reason we have created this adoption fundraiser website. International adoptions typically run between $20,000 and $40,000. Our adoption is expected to total about $36,000 after using as many frequent flyer points and miles as possible. We have been incredibly blessed to have been able to pay for all of our own adoption fees thus far without any fundraising. God has been faithful and has provided each step of the way. We have set a goal to raise $15,000 to be used towards our remaining fees, travel expenses and orphanage donation. $15,000 seems like a large mountain to climb but if 600 of our friends each gave $25 we would reach the peak.
We have a 1,000 piece puzzle that we bought in honor of our new daughter and for anyone who donates to her adoption we will write your name on the back of a puzzle piece. We plan to assemble it and put it in a two sided frame as a reminder of all the people here that loved and supported her and helped her family bring her home.
