We are adopting a baby!
Becoming parents has always been part of our family vision. While dealing with infertility for 3+ years was very tough and very challenging, it has made us appreciate the opportunity of having and raising children. We don’t take this lightly! That experience really brought us together, and has really created a bond between us that has helped solidify us as one. We believe this has started shaping us into the best parents we can be.
We have successfully completed all the required paperwork, home study and interviews that are involved with pursuing adoption, and have been MATCHED with a sweet baby boy due in August! This is a private, domestic adoption which means our match is with an expectant birth mom in the United States (ours specifically is in Arizona!).
We are incredibly excited for this new journey, and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful baby boy into our home. As part of our adoption process, we’ve decided to start a crowdfunding campaign. It might come as a surprise, but adoption related costs can easily exceed $35,000 or more. We have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that can be overwhelming to adoptive parents.
We hope by inviting you into this process, that you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our little guy as he grows up. We are looking forward to introducing a new little Murray to our family this August! We appreciate all your prayers and support during this exciting journey to Baby Murray!
