Greetings! We are the Joy family and this will be our 3rd adoption from China and our 5th child! Ifan turns 13 on January 25, 2020. From that moment, he has a year until he ages out and will no longer be eligible for adoption. We have made great strides, having completed our home study and received PA (pre-approval) from China. We’re currently in the process of finalizing the U.S. paperwork requirements with immigration. We’re hoping to travel late summer of ’20 to bring him home!
Ifan has been under the Love Without Boundaries foster care program in China since he was infant but had to return to his home orphanage about two years ago when China made some program changes.
Ifan has been loved by so many people over the years and currently has a $20,000 adoption assistance grant through Love Without Boundaries. Our family will receive that grant when we receive final approval from China to travel near the end of our adoption.
We have set a target goal of $15,000 to help cover the remaining adoption expenses and travel costs (total adoption costs are nearly $35,000).
