We are Amy & JP and are humbled that you even found this. We met in 2001 and when we realized we never wanted to be apart, we married in 2010 and tried to start a family. After four long years of failed IVF's and two miscarriages, one day feeling so discouraged on our way to the doctor's office, the elevator door opened and a darling little boy ran out and into my arms just as the elevator closed behind him and his grandmother panicked. I held him until she was able to come back up and while looking into his eyes, I instantly knew I could love and adore any little soul regardless of biology. I walked into the office no longer worried if it worked out because as long as we didn't give up and were open, had faith and let go, we'd one day become a family. After a failed adoption and a year of no one picking our profile, last year we were given the biggest gift of our lives through adopting our son Jones! He is the light of our lives and the joy of our days. Tragically, a week after the adoption his mother and two siblings were killed in a car accident and we are dedicated in giving him the most amazing life that his birth mother would have wanted for him. JP and I are incredibly close to our siblings and have always dreamed of having two children so they could always have each other, long after we're gone. It's hard for our family to feel complete until then. But we got the call last month that a Haitian birth mother in need miraculously picked our profile! She is due in FL in March and we'd love nothing more than to shower this angel with love and give him the best big brother! And we need your help. The very brave birth mom's expenses (rent, utilities, food, gas, clothing, etc.) + legal fees total $43,690. GULP. We weren't prepared for this to happen on the heels of paying off our first adoption but are eager to try every avenue to provide a loving home for him.
