We are adopting!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new child or children into our home. Many of you have walked with us prayerfully through our family's journey and we are so excited to share with you this exciting news!
We fully believe in the power of community living and are asking you to join us in preparing our home for this child. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. While we are working hard to save, we want to ask for your support in this process by helping us raise some of the costs. In addition, we will need to spend 6-8 weeks in South Africa with our child. Some of the added burdens of being out of the country for that length of time are costly, but so vital for our relationship with the child or children we bring home.
We will not be able to raise our child without your love and prayers, and we hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as they grow up.
