Exciting news!
After another nine month wait, I am officially in the waiting parent pool and hope to bring Baby Bee into the family soon! I’ve been blessed with a fairly smooth adoption process so far. All the support from friends and family have kept me sane and excited as I wait for Bee’s arrival.
Domestic adoptions can easily amount to over $50,000. I expect ours will cost about $30,000. While I prefer to be self-sufficient (asking for monetary help is my least favorite thing to do) and am financially prepared to fund the adoption, the unexpected house purchase put a dent in savings. I will be applying to every grant I’m eligible for to help with costs once a match is made. Grants are great opportunities, but they’re not guaranteed to every applicant, which is why I hope any donations to this fundraising campaign will help offset some of the expenses grants can’t cover.
