We have BIG news!
We are adopting two children!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome two beautiful new children into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. And since we are adopting two children, this expense is close to $50,000. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We have prayed, saved, and made major changes to our lives to pursue this journey. We are often asked if there is anything any one can do to help us in the pursuit of bringing our children home to their FOREVER family. Today we are sharing this request, and hope if it is in your heart, and ability, to support our family toward brining Emily (age 5), and Michael (age 4) home. These precious children will have waited nearly 1300 days (over three years in an orphanage) for their forever family before we travel to China. We pray that they do not have to wait one more day than absolutely necessary to come home.
We have always dreamed of expanding our family through adoption and are blessed and called to pursue this journey now. We also feel we are called and blessed to adopt children with special needs. Our sweet little Emily has Down Syndrome, and Our precious and precocious Michael has Cerebral Palsy. We truly believe EVERY child should be in a forever and loving home. All funds raised will be directed to our adoption agency in Colorado, CCAI, ccaifamily.org to offset the costs of the home study, agency fees, immigration costs, and dossier preparation that will be around $50,000.
