If there is one thing Louis and I knew way before we ever decided to get married, it was that we both wanted to have more than one child together. This past year, we finally bought our first home together, and I repeatedly told Louis during the search for our home, we have to buy a big home so we can fill it with children to love for the rest of our lives. This is still our goal, hope, and dream.
As some of you know, Louis and I have been faced with the challenges of infertility. Last month, Louis and I had a procedure done that we thought for sure was going to give us our little baby. It turned out to not be successful. Even though this was not a part of our plans, we know this is not the Lord saying never to having a biological child, but the Lord saying I have different plans for you both and just not right now.
After hard, long conversations and a lot of praying, Louis and I have decided to do a private adoption. The Lord has placed it on both of our hearts to adopt a newborn child. With this private adoption comes a very large expense. It costs approximately 30 thousand to 50 thousand dollars to complete a domestic private adoption. Louis and I are beginning this process and will be adopting through Heart Of Adoptions and right away have to put down a large sum.
