Kaylee & Adam W.

are adopting a child from United States of America

Hi everyone. 👋🏻 We are Adam & Kaylee! We are trying to adopt a child to complete our family. We wanted to tell you about what this journey has been for us and what our future plans are.

Adam and I have been trying to adopt for 3 years through private adoption agency here in Kentucky that has access to cases from KY, IN, TN, AZ, and Florida. We have also been looking for private adoptions outside of this agency as well- we call this knowing someone who knows someone adoptions. We have had a HARD last couple of years. I stay positive, I don’t show too much hurt, and I try to remember that god has a plan. After three years though, it’s beating us down. We’ve gotten as far as speaking with a birthmother, going to court and meeting what could’ve been our future child, and even been narrowed down to a handful of families.. all have fallen through/failed. These things happen when you are trying to adopt. More recently, if you see in the updates- we were matched. The last four months were joyous, with ultrasounds, getting to know the birth mother, decorating the nursery specific to our little girl. Ultimately birth father decided to parent and we once again went through a failed adoption. Here it is Christmas and all we are praying for is a beautiful baby to complete Our family.

Cases come in all the time- but one thing or another leads us not to be able to apply for them. Sometimes it’s a qualification/want from the birth parents we don’t meet, but most of the time it’s because these cases range from $50,000 to $70,000. We have applied for multiple grants, but non awarded yet and we have also found that we can take up to $35,000 from our 401k. This helps us SO much, but $35,000 is a LONG way from $50,000 for an average working family and even further away from $70,000.

Adam and I have decided that for the next year, we will be putting EVERYTHING we have into this. Emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually. What this means is perusing other avenues.

There is a consulting agency that seems to have great success rates with matching adoption, but there is a lot of money involved in that. $54,400.000 to be exact before they can take us on as a client and this is for minimum monetary cases.

This consultant agency we would like to work with is extremely faith based for Christians and we truly believe this is where god is leading us. We pray about every step we take, so if you are able.. please help us take this next step. Anything is appreciated even a share and a prayer ❤️ Thank you for being apart of our journey.

    Failed adoption

    December 6, 2025

It’s been a few weeks now since our little girl was born- birth mother was strong in her decision to allow us to adopt, but birth father was not. Ultimately birth mother is parenting and we are heart broken and grieving. Please keep our family in your prayers as we go through again failed adoption.
