As our friends and family know, we are adopting a newborn!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home in the very near future. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $45,000 to help ease the financial burden. These costs include the thousands of our own savings we have already paid for the home study and family profile process, and will continue to cover things like medical expenses for birth mom and our baby, court fees, adoption agency fees, and our travel costs (when the baby arrives, we will have to stay with our baby in his or her home state for 1-2 weeks until all paperwork is finalized).
