Dear Friends and Family,
Many of you have been following our journey this past summer when Dan and I participated in the 2017 KidSave Summer Miracles program for Colombian orphans. For five weeks, we hosted Aura, a 12-year-old girl.
Hosting Aura this summer was an amazing experience. She is smart, creative and funny! We were so blessed to have her in our home this summer. After Aura returned to Colombia early August, we knew right away that we wanted to start the adoption process. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign to help fund the adoption costs. Bringing Aura home will cost in excess of $37,000, that is why we have set a goal of $15,000. With international adoptions, there are many agencies and processes. It's a long, emotional journey that will take another 7-9 months. But, we know it will all be well worth it when Aura is back home again.
By starting this page, we hope you continue to feel a part of our journey to bring Aura back home again. It's not easy opening ourselves up and asking for help. But, many of you have asked how you can help support us with the adoption. We are so grateful for your continued encouragement, support and time that you devoted to her while she was here.
