I am very excited to share the news that I am in the process of adopting a baby! (inshallah - as you say in Arabic - god willing or hopefully) The adoption is a domestic adoption and will most likely be a newborn whom I would meet at the hospital when his or her birth mother gives birth.
Researching adoption has been overwhelming … and so are the costs, on average ranging from $35,000 to $50,000 or more. There are so many costs involved - from application fees to home study fees to adoption agency fees to in-state and out-of-state attorney fees to possible birth mother financial assistance …
I am not deterred! But I _ am _ asking for help.
