It's easy to have a heart for adoption when you realize that you are adopted. That God, in his great mercy, rescued us and pulled us out of our depravity and said "You are mine". That while we were still running away from God he ran toward us and called us sons and daughters.
For some time, Katy and I have wanted to adopt children. We started the process almost 5 years ago and have finally been matched with a baby boy in South Africa!! After a long road, we are thrilled to be in the final stages. We leave on September 27th for Cape Town and will be there a little over a month and a half. Our time in country will be filled with lots of bonding time, court, paperwork, sight seeing…and more paperwork! But we CANNOT wait to meet our little guy and add him to our clan of little boys!!
We've started a fundraiser on Adopt Together to raise the funding that we need to make our adoption a success. The final costs for adoption include the last program and country fee, as well as travel expenses. It's been our dream to help give a child an opportunity like this and we hope that you will consider helping us make our dream a reality.
