We are the Kirklands! Last year, we brought home a little girl from China to join our family. Lucy (5) has brought more joy into our family than we could have ever imagined! Lucy is profoundly deaf and over the last year she has grown and developed in so many ways. It has been miraculous to see her come into our family and bond with us and thrive. We are so honored to participate in the indescribable gift of adoption. This past July, we began feeling the nudge to start the adoption process again and we applied with our agency, Lifeline. We had lots of things to get in order before we took the leap - finances being one of them. We have made some big changes in our finances and God has been so faithful to prepare us to start the process again. God writes the best stories. On October 15th, God revealed to us the face of our next little one. Honestly, for us to have found her ourselves would have been like looking for a needle in a haystack. She is 2 years old and shares the same special need as Lucy! It didn&’t take long for us to say yes to the next big dream that God had set before us - Bringing Charlotte Mei into the Kirkland Family! She will be well loved by her parents and 4 lively siblings! We did not do any fundraising for our first adoption. This time, we are so thankful to have the opportunity to partner with Adopt Together and be able to receive tax deductible donations towards our adoption. We give thanks for every prayer, word of encouragement, and gift of support that will help us to bring home Charlotte! We have learned how much we need each other in the adoption process - It takes a village!!
