As we celebrate our 8th Wedding Anniversary, we are excited to announce the changes that are coming to our lives. We are adopting a baby!
We started the adoption process in March and are almost home study approved. So far in our journey we have completed all the paperwork, background checks, fingerprinting, online education courses, updates to our home and are so excited to be soon connecting with agencies to share our profile with birth parents.
We have researched, prayed, and visited with families that are going through the process currently, and have had successful adoptions in the past. We have decided that the best situation for our family will be a domestic adoption. We are excited to welcome a child or children from infancy to three years old. We would love to adopt a family group but know that God will provide us with the best situation for our family.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life/s into our home! As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. Tom and I plan on funding as much as we possibly can, but hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
