We have BIG news!
We are planning to adopt a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful boy into our home. As part of our adoption process, we are hosting an orphan for 4 weeks through a hosting organization, Host Orphans Worldwide. To do so comes with expenses so it was suggested to me that I start a crowdfunding campaign through Adopt Together. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more.
We have matched with a 9 year old boy from Ukraine named Roman . He will come to stay with us for 4 weeks in January 2020. He arrives January 23rd and will have to go back February 19th. We can then pursue adopting him. It is our hope that we can provide a better life for a child outside of orphanage walls. The statistics of what happens with these kids if they are not adopted is absolutely heart wrenching. I am happy to share that with you if you are curious.
Oh and did I mention he looks more like Ben than his own kids do?!?!
So this will be step one in our adoption journey.
