Hi everyone! We are Ryan and Amy Laird from Nassau Bay, TX (outside of Houston). Many of you know that we have struggled for many years to become parents. We know that there are many children in this world that deserve a loving family just like the ones that we were lucky enough to be born into.
We were both raised in Texas and graduated from Texas State University. Ryan works in sales and Amy is an elementary school counselor. We have a fun and happy life that we would love to share with a little one of our own.
We're beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. We have been working towards growing our family for the past 8 years. We have worked with different specialists and had several failed fertility treatments including IVF. The losses have felt devastating and it has been emotionally and financially draining for both of us.
Few things feel as vulnerable as sharing our fertility struggles with others but people have urged us over and over again to open up and share our story with people that may feel the desire to help. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $30,000 or more. This is why we are appreciative to anything anyone is willing to give towards this fund to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents and keeps them from being able to bring a child into the family.
