Bree and I were so fortunate to adopt JJ as an infant. When presented with Langston&'s situation last fall, we thought the boys would be like twins (they are three months apart and keeping us busy!). The last four months we&'ve been together have been wonderful for all of us – especially the boys! Langston&'s language and individualism have flourished. Last Tuesday, we received notification that this adoption will be turning into an unanticipated legal matter. Instead of preparing for a spring finalization, we are worried sick and are fearing the worst. Our attorney&'s retainer fee is far above what we had planned for in an already-costly adoption.
