We are adopting a child!
As you may or may not know, we struggled with infertility for many years. After numerous disappointments, we took a mental break from the process for a couple of years and have been enjoying traveling and just being married. But, we keep finding ourselves wanting to be parents - so we're taking a huge step forward and are ready to complete our little family.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to learn that adoption-related costs can easily be $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden. We will also have plenty of other ways to participate, from yard sales to bake sales.
It's an extremely vulnerable place to ask those you love to give when we know everyone has their own goals and priorities with their money. But, we know how much our family and friends have supported us emotionally through this journey - and we hope that you'll feel even more connected with the process through this profile and the updates we'll be making.
