Jeremiah 29:11 Deep in our hearts we knew that we were called to bring children into our marriage, but every attempt seemed to hit a dead end. Through the trying, testing and medical procedures hope was in short supply and there was no clear vision of God's plan for our future. In 2014 we signed on with Adoption Angels out of San Antonio. On our 9 year wedding anniversary the phone rang! We had been selected by a birthmother and could expect the arrival of a baby boy in May. While on vacation in Ohio our little baby boy signaled his debut 6 weeks ahead of schedule. Born on Good Friday, also my birthday, just minutes after our arrival in the labor and delivery suite in San Antonio, Emmanuel arrived. We settled into a routine as a home of three but knew in the back of our minds that we had not yet completed our family. God was on the verge of revealing the next step in our future. In late August the phone rang again. This time the agency was letting us know that Emmanuel's birthmother was expecting and that she asked if we would accept this new baby into our hearts and home alongside Emmanuel. There were obstacles: the timing, the finances, and the emotional resources. We prayed. Our family and friends prayed. We all watched as God made a way. In response, we are joyfully expecting a biological sibling for Emmanuel, a gift we could have never given him or this new baby on our own. Our back-to-back expenses for two adoptions will total almost 60k.
