We have BIG news…I am adopting Skylar’s little sister due in August! When the opportunity was presented, I couldn’t pass up the chance to allow both Skylar and this new baby girl to grow up together! I’m so grateful and honored that Skylar’s birth mom chose me to also parent this new little one!
Skylar and I are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. This process is on a much shorter timeline than when I adopted Skylar as the baby is due in less than 5 months and I am starting from scratch. As part of our adoption process, I have started a tax deductible crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $45,000 or more. To be honest, fundraising in these uncertain times is terrifying but I know that God is a big God and will provide. Any and all money raised will go directly to the expenses related to this adoption to help bring Skylar’s sister home. As a single mom, the financial burden of adoption is big, but I know God has given me a large support system made up of all of you!
