Sean Luellwitz

is adopting a child from India

Hello and thank you for your interest! We are the Luellwitz family: Sean, Alison, Moses (8), and Elisha (3). Our family loves everything from wrestling with one another, hosting friends and eating pizza to long bike rides and snuggling up with a book together. We live in Wisconsin and are in the process of adopting a 2 year old boy from India.

Just as he uses adoption to build his family, God has used adoption to build ours. Both of our sons, Moses (home from Ethiopia in 2011) and Elisha (home from the DRC in 2016), entered our family by adoption. The journey to our third son has been many years in the making and filled with twists and turns. We waited from March 2012 to April 2017 for a referral in Ethiopia and were never matched as our agency had so many waiting families and adoptions had slowed so significantly in Ethiopia.

In April 2017 the Ethiopian government indefinitely suspended international adoptions. At this point we were stunned, having just walked through a 2.5 year suspension in the DR-Congo during our adoption of Elisha. In our grief we prayed for a time and thereafter believed God wanted to continue this story. So in June of 2017 we transferred to our agency’s India program and in August of 2017 we accepted a referral for a beautiful 2 year old boy waiting with a limb difference in India.

We are so thrilled with him and eager to bring him home soon, not only so we can include him in the love of a family but also so that we can get him fitted for a medical device that will enable him to walk again!

Thank you for reading about our family and even considering to join our journey by financially partnering with us!
