We have BIG news!
After our 4 year fertility journey we have realized that while we thought we would always adopt a third it seems as though the Lord has a different path for us. We are so excited to add a second baby to our family. WE ARE ADOPTING!!
We are beyond excited and actually shocked this opportunity came to us the way it did. Our timeline has moved up and we are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home.
While we are so excited and overwhelmed at the thought that by the end of the year a new baby will be in our arms we need your help to make this dream a reality. Our reality is that the past four years we've spent our savings trying to have a biological child. I had no idea the cost of fertility until we started the long process. I was shocked to find out that a single-round IUI could be thousands of dollars and medication and surgery for IVF could be as much as $10-20,000. We did 5 IUIs and 4 IVF rounds. We also hired a surrogate to transfer our final embryo to. I'm so glad we made the decision to do everything in our power to grow our family it gives me peace knowing that we tried. However, at the end of it we were left with 6 miscarriages, 3 surgeries, debt and empty arms.
As part of our adoption process, we started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $30,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of [$32,000] to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
