We are adopting a baby!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as she grows up.
As some of you may know, Josh and I have struggled with infertility. We’ve wanted to grow our family since the moment we got married. We suffered from miscarriages & heartbreak.
We truly believe that God works all things together according to his will. And boy oh boy, adoptions don’t just fall into your lap! We are so incredibly thrilled & in awe of All that has been happening the past several weeks.
4 weeks ago, a friend reached out & said she knew of a baby that is due in December and that will need a home. We never guessed that all the details would be working themselves out, and we are so incredibly thrilled.💕

UPDATE on expenses:
$2,000+ (mileage, fees) homestudy costs
$200 adoption classes
$150 DPS/ clearance cards
Final legal fees TBD
We also just found out that Josh will have two weeks no pay in December on top of the adoption and closing on our house, so any extra funds will be going to our bills those two weeks. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated! We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts!

**We are getting closer to finalizing!
we have another visit (maybe two) with our agency, and we are also waiting on the county/state to get some stuff rolling before we can finalize. We are hoping and praying we can finalize by September.
why September you ask? Great question…
we unexpectedly and joyfully found out that we are expecting baby #2! And, he’s due middle of September. After 3 miscarriages and being told we’d never be pregnant again, we were definitely in shock.**
We are so excited for Annabeth to have a little brother and we can’t wait to be a family of 4!
