We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of 30,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the family we hope to build around our child as he or she grows up.
After quite a tiring journey of extensive reproductive issues, we soon learned it would be more difficult than expected to become pregnant. Adoption began creeping into our hearts at the time we were referred to a fertility specialist. After being told that our chances of growing our family could happen only if we did IVF or used a surrogate, we knew that adoption was what God was calling us to.
We will be working with Faithful Adoption Consultants, preparing to begin the home study process, and saving for the overall cost of our adoption, which is around $30,000. We are so thankful that we have the means to provide for a child’s daily needs, but the reality is there is a substantial amount of money needed to bring this child home.
