This means, we are now legally waiting for momma and little babe to find us!
We are on a mission to raise $10,000 (1/3 of our fees) for the post-placement care of future babes mother. You all have already been so generous and we are half way to our goal! The agency we are working with provides incredible resources for expectant mothers pre and post placement.
Some of these services include:
Counseling services, education on ALL of her options: abortion, adoption and parenting her child, time off of work to let her body heal/if she is on bed rest, support groups/birth mother retreats, hospital advocate & support, legal assistance, medical care, some living expenses if she cannot work, etc.
Nothing in here is unnecessary. We want an ethical adoption and that means taking care of mom. This is the most important part of the adoption to us. Future babes mom is (and will always be) our family and we want to do everything we can to help take care of her in the most challenging and heart breaking time in her life.
