We are adopting a child (domestic infant)!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 and more. This is why we have set a goal of $15,000.00 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. This amount is specifically for the costs of baby items we need to purchase prior to the arrival AND in the first few months of our infant! One of the highest costs will be providing breastmilk from a Milk Bank. This is a very important part of what we want to provide for our child and due to our inability to provide naturally, we will be using a Milk Bank that ships breastmilk to our home regularly, for the first 3 months. Thereafter we will gradually integrate a nutritional formula!
