is adopting a child from Peru

In 2011 when we went to live in Peru for a year, we thought it would just be a fun adventure. Turns out, it would change our life! During that year in Peru, we got connected with an orphanage near our home, and we spent nearly every weekend hanging out with the kids there. We€™d often joke with of the kids we&'d want to bring home. But somewhere along the way it stopped being a joke! We had talked about the idea of adoption over the years, but getting to know these kids who wanted a family made it real! When we moved back to the States we started the process to adopt a sister and brother from that orphanage. Then we were told that a family who had been planning to adopt another sibling set from that same orphanage backed out of their adoption process. We were asked to consider those kids. Four all at once seemed crazy! But the idea grew on us, and now we can&'t imagine our family any other way. There are two girls, both 15, and two boys, 12 and 13. We are fortunate to have incredible family support, and we trust God will help us rise to the challenge. We hope to pick them up in May-June 2014. -David and Karen Martin http://front-row-seat.blogspot.com
