The Masudas
is adopting a child from United States of America
Hi, we are the Masudas, & we are adopting!
We are thrilled to announce we’ve been chosen by a wonderful expectant mother to adopt her son. We are in awe of her heart for him, what an honor that she would find us a good fit for her son.
Adoption has been on our minds ever since our first son was born. Rachel developed a blood clot in her brain after giving birth. We almost lost her, and can’t take that risk again. We know God works in mysterious ways, and felt Him leading us to adoption.
Little brother is due on October 10th, and we invite you to be part of our journey to bring him home! We are so grateful for everyone who has been a part of this process with us so far, offering support, counseling, and a listening ear.
We’ve been fortunate to have been able to stay with Rachel’s parents over the summer to save money by listing our home on Airbnb. Baby boy is coming so soon, so we will be moving back into our home, but we still have a lot more to raise!
Our adoption will cost us $58,000, yes, we know that’s a lot of money! We love God’s heart for adoption, and we are stepping into this in faith.
We want to be transparent about all of the costs of adopting so here are some of the key places the money you donate will go:
- Ongoing life coaching for the birth mom
- Counseling & mental health therapy for the birth mom
- First home study
- Agency fees
- Adoption attorney fees
- Adoption consultant fees
- Final home study
- Finalization court fees
- Travel expenses
- Medical expenses
Once again thank you for all your support! Keep us in your prayers, as well as the beautiful expectant-mother and her baby boy.
