Stefanie Mattos

is adopting a child from United States of America

We are the Mattos family!

We have already experienced the joy of adoption in 2017 when we welcomed our beautiful baby girl Remy into our family through domestic infant adoption. To read more about our journey to Remy, read our blog here! She is the absolute love of our lives and we are so excited to announce that we're ready to give Remy a sibling! We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home.

When we went through the adoption process with Remy, we decided that we were open to a child who had been exposed to drugs in utero (called NAS: Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome). I was a baby-cuddler at the hospital before we even planned to adopt and I developed a heart for these babies born addicted. However, when we were matched with Remy, we did not plan for the extended hospital stay and to add to that, Remy was born more than three hours away from our home. Luckily, God was in the mood to show off and we were able to make it through the 4 week stay in the hospital without going into debt!

However, we want to be well prepared this time around. Again, we are open to an NAS baby and want to be fully funded before journeying into "the wait" of our adoption. We have set a goal of $5,000 to raise through crowd funding to help ease the financial burden that we so well know as adoptive parents. We've also set up an etsy store, if you'd like to check it out, click here!

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about our family!
