We are adopting a child!
We have been waiting for years to start our family and are now ready to adopt! We spent the first 7 years of our marriage moving around the country and both finishing grad school in an effort to create a stable life and find a permanent place to raise our family. We started the adoption process over 3 years ago in Houston but then had to move for Courtney’s work through 2 more states, each time stopping our progress in the adoption process. Now, we are finally settled, near friends and family again and extremely excited to have been accepted to an adoption agency!
Both of us have wanted adoption to be an integral part of growing our family and have talked about it since we first started dating. Now that the time is here, we can hardly stand the wait to be matched with a birth mother.
No matter what happens, we will find a way to make our adoption dreams come true. But given that this process can cost upwards of $30,000 for each child adopted, we will be forever grateful for any support or donations from the community. While this is an expensive and emotional journey, nothing can deter our determination or the love we already have for our future family and any amount will be immensely appreciated.
