Hi! We are the McCulloch's, we currently have four children (1 biological, 3 through adoption), each with a unique story. We have two daughters and two sons. Early March 2017, I (Lauren) had a dream that I had a daughter somewhere in Asia with Down Syndrome. I woke with an aching in my heart for her. Although we had thought we were done growing our family, and didn't plan to adopt again… I had a strong sense of urgency to find her. We began to pray and asked those close to us to pray as well. I asked God to remove this desire if it was not from Him. About a week later, our 10 year old son came to us to tell us that God had told him he had a little sister somewhere in the world (he knew nothing about my dream). Time passed and we got more confirmations, one after another that this was something we were to pursue. It seemed so crazy, but we trusted that if this was what God was calling us to do, He would make it clear. Oh man, did He make it clear! Crystal clear! A few weeks later, I was on Holt's website and noticed they had some new waiting child listings. I scrolled down the page and came across the most beautiful 4 year old little girl from China who happens to have Down Syndrome, who needed a family. The instant I saw her, I knew she was mine, my heart felt the same way it did in my dream. I sent her photo to Ryan and he requested to view her file. We were matched with her on April 3, 2017. As a family, we have no doubt that this sweet girl is ours. We had not planned on adopting at this time and the fees will be approximately $35,000-$40,000 (including travel to China). We are planning to be creative and do everything we can to be able to cover the fees. We know God has called us to be her parents, and trust that He will help us provide.
