As some or most of you know we are adopting! And we feel so honored to be able to give our girl a family and home.
Adoption can be very costly, even domestically. From China it can costs roughly $35,000. So far we have spent about $14,000 on our adoption. About 1/3 of that has come from our personal incomes and odd jobs, and the rest has come from fundraising and gifts. We're estimating we're still in need of about $20,000. We're at the time in process where we can apply for grants and loans specifically for adoption, and we are doing that. Meanwhile, we felt led to put this account together for anyone that would like to contribute, but prefer to contribute to a 501c3 for your tax purposes.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we eventually hope to build around our child as she grows up…a community that will instill hope and love.
