On November 9, 2010 we submitted our preliminary application starting our adoption process. It took 4 1/2 years for us to receive a referral for a 4 year old boy on April 21, 2015. We, along, with our four biological children, are ecstatic and so in love with this little guy already. Mark is the lead pastor of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. One of the greatest blessing to us along this journey has been watching so many others in our community also answer the call to care for the orphan through fostering and adopting (both domestically and internationally). God led us to this adoption by clearly showing us His great love for us by sending Jesus in order for Him to adopt us into His family. We are planning to travel to complete our adoption in 7-9 months. All of our agency and country fees have been paid in full. We are only lacking our travel funds.
