The McPherson Family is GROWING!
We are SO EXCITED to announce that we are HOME STUDY APPROVED, and are eagerly awaiting our birth family match!
We have been taking our adoption classes, reading books, listening to podcasts, and doing everything we can to prepare for the beautiful new addition to our family! As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Most domestic adoptions cost an average of $35,000-$50,000. Additionally, outside of adoption costs, legal fees, medical costs for the birth family, and home study fees, many insurance plans do not offer any adoption assistance or offer paid leave for either parent.
This is why we have chosen to reach out to our community of friends, family, and mentors to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Both of our lives have been impacted by friends and family who have been adopted, or who have adopted their own children. We have witnessed the power and beauty that comes with providing a safe, compassionate, loving home for a child, and we are so excited to bring those lessons into our own family.
We are BEYOND thankful to have your support. We are humbled and grateful, and we can't wait to meet our future child, thanks to generosity of people like you.

We are so excited to share that we’ve been matched with the most incredible expectant momma. We will be traveling to Wyoming in October to bring home our little guy!!
Thank you for all of your donations so far! We have spent close to $5,000 of our donated funds on our home study and parenting classes.
We are estimating an additional $14,000 to finalize the adoption. This will go toward legal fees (attorneys for us as well as the expectant mother), home visit fees, travel expenses to and from Wyoming, as well as time off work (our jobs do not pay for parental leave for adoptive parents)
