Just over six years ago God set us out on a journey…our journey to adoption. In September 2012 God blessed us with a beautiful boy who has brought more joy and happiness to our lives than we could ever imagine. Today, we would like to include you on our new journey…..toward a second adoption.
The call to adopt a second time has been tugging at our heart strings off and on over the last couple years. Thinking it would pass in time, those thoughts and feelings endured. We soon realized that when God is telling your heart something, the only thing you can do is to listen, trust and take action.
John 1:13 states, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. We believe as Christians we are called to support adoption, because we ourselves are adopted through Christ. So, we have followed God’s lead and will for our lives and have decided to expand our family through adoption again.
We are currently in the Homestudy portion of our adoption journey. Unfortunately, the process of adoption requires that we step out on faith and be stretched in ways that are out of our comfort zone. We are so thankful that we have the means to provide for a child’s daily needs, but the reality is there is a substantial amount of money needed to bring this child home. Our adoption is estimated to cost upwards of $35,000-$40,000. We are asking if you would enter into this journey with us? Whether you feel led to help us financially or through your prayers and encouragement, it all means the world to us! Either way, your donation and/or your prayers will be used for the sole purpose of bringing our child home.
This letter has been one of much prayer and thought. Honestly, this may be the hardest thing we have felt we need to do. We have struggled with the thought of asking you to support us. But, we also know that God uses his people for his purposes. As part of our adoption process we have started an Adopt Together Campaign. This campaign is an IRS approved 501c3 organization and therefore all donations are tax deductible. We would be honored to know that you helped us bring our child home and knowing that this child will have the opportunity of growing up in a Christian home.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our family. We stand humbly before God, knowing that he will do great things through our faith in him. Thank you so much for your prayers and your support.
