Can you imagine living in the same town for almost your entire life and never crossing paths? That's how our story began as we both lived in the same town, knew similar people, but never actually met. Fast forward to 2011 and we both found ourselves working as teachers in the same elementary school. We guess you could say it was love at first recess.
Our adoption story begins 2 years ago after we struggled to conceive naturally. After countless doctors appointments we were eager and excited to begin the IVF process. Unfortunately, after multiple unsuccessful rounds of IVF, we knew the desire to become parents was what was most important. That's when we decided on adoption to make our dream of becoming parents a reality.
We have spent close to $10,000 during the IVF process and already thousands more preparing to begin working with our adoption agency. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $30,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
