We have BIG news!
We are adopting 2 children!!!
We are beyond excited and are beginning to prepare to bring them home. Our road to adoption has been long and difficult but God has answered our faithful prayers. We have been waiting 5 years to be matched and the time is now! There were times we felt like God was not answering or even hearing our prayers and Psalm 13 began to be our outcry. We are so glad we persevered for now "I will sing praise to the Lord. He has been so good to us".
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total $30,000 or more. Adopting 2 children cost even more and we estimate the costs to exceed over $40,000. We have set a goal of $15,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We are inviting our friends and family to come along side us to help in our journey. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our children as they grow up. All donations made through Adopt Together are tax deductible.
October 10, 2021 Update:
We have received our Adoption Order from SV&G courts legally naming us as their parents and now the hard part starts…waiting. This Adoption Order triggers more fees and also let us begin the immigration process which is a slow process made even slower by COVID-19, quarantines and shutdowns. The waiting is the hardest part but is made a little easier by modern technology and several video calls each week.
We ask for continued prayer and ask you to pray Ephesians 3:20. We believe God's faithfulness is true and He cannot fail.
