We have Big News!
We are adopting a child!
We are so excited, saving every penny and doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new baby into our home.
As a part of our adoption process we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may come as a surprise but adoption related costs can easily reach over 35k. Which is why we have set a goal of 15k to help in our process.
Mike and I met in high school and ultimately were high school sweethearts but we needed to figure out ourselves first. After reconnecting a year ago we decided we didn't want anything else but to built a life together.
Mike has given me the opportunity to have two amazing Bonus son's that we love dearly. Riley who just turned 9 and Behr who is 4 years old. We would like to be able to add to our blended family and bring a little girl (who we are set on naming Phobe <3) into our lives.
We love spending time outside with the boys: Camping, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding and canoeing. We are all animal lovers and are always looking for adventure. We love being goofy and like to run around with the boys in dinosaur onesie's because of Behr's love for dinosaurs. Our entire family has an extreme addiction to the Disney show Bluey, we love watching that together on rainy days. Our home is filled with SO much Love and laughter, that we would like to add to our fun, family dynamic by introducing another child to our lives.
After receiving a liver transplant in 2020 I worked with doctors to see if it would be possible to have children of my own. Unfortunately that is not an option for me having a severe blood clotting disorder. My doctors have determined it is to risky for myself and baby to have a successful pregnancy. Due to high risk of clotting in general during pregnancy and my disorder they for see it being nearly impossible for me to carry a baby full term and if by small chance I do carry to term the defects from my medications could be severe to a fetus. This was very upsetting to hear but will not stop me from trying to be a full time mother to a deserving little human.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as a part of the community we hope to build around our child as she grows up.
Sincerely,
Cassie and Mike
