We feel that after many years of trying to have a child naturally, through IVF, and embryo adoption and unfortunately being unsuccessful each time that we have been called by God to add to our family through domestic adoption. We feel that every child deserves to grow up in a loving, caring, and stable home. Every child deserves to be loved and cared for. Adoption is a great way for family’s who can’t have their own children naturally to be blest with the opportunity to raise a child of their own and gives the adoptive child an opportunity to be loved by multiple family’s.
Kyla and I would like to tell our own adoption experience. We were both married once before, and I was blest to have a daughter from that marriage. Her name is Carreagan and she is 15 years old. Kyla and I started dating when Carreagan was 5 and Kyla immediately became the mom figure Carreagan needed in her life. Kyla was there for her when she needed the tender loving motherly care that every child needs. In November of 2019, we received the amazing news that my ex wife had agreed to sign over her rights of Carreagan to Kyla and Kyla would be able to adopt her and officially become her mom. A few months later the Covid Pandemic showed up and all adoption proceedings were put on hold. On December 14, 2021, we were finally able to go to court in front of a judge and Kyla’s adoption of Carreagan was approved by the courts. That day was a day for celebrations as it was almost 10 years in the making. Now we would love to have the opportunity to have another adoption celebration for our family. Carreagan is also very excited at the idea of becoming an older sister. She is great with kids and we often call her a kid magnet because kids flock to her.
HI!
Welcome to our journey! We are so happy you are taking the time to read our story.
We start our new journey with our, new agency this week. After talking with them last week we have found that feeling that we have waited for! That feeling of this is it, these people are going to be the people that really help us and match us with our birth family.
We prayed about the choice to stay with our current agency or move to another. We felt that god was pushing in the direction of an agency that was closer to home.
Our daughter can't wait to be a big sister, we know that god will bless us soon with our baby. We pray that our birth mom/birth parents receive the strength they need to help them along this journey.
Blessed!!
