The Minehan Family

are adopting a child from China

We have BIG news

We are in the beginning stages of adopting a beautiful baby girl!

Our Daughter is a 16 month old princess with Trisomy 21, more commonly referred to as Down Syndrome. The challenges we will face in her adoption process are nothing in comparison to the challenges she has faced in her young life. We are confident that we can provide her with the love, care and compassion that she so definitely deserves. Please help us in our mission!!

Joe and I fell in love, after a brief meeting of chance at Special Olympics Summer Games 15 years ago. We immediately bonded over our passion to protect, teach and embrace children and adults with special needs. Our love has continued to grow and in the process, by the grace of God, we have been blessed with 3 amazing boys who challenge us and teach us daily how to be the parents we are today. All three of our boys are as excited as we are to begin this journey!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to prepare to welcome this beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. With faith, love and family we know that we can accomplish anything! There is no amount that will keep us from going forward, but appreciate all the help we can to bring home our little girl.

As we all know, it takes a village to raise a child and we hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of OUR village and as part of the community we hope to build around our child as she grows up! Thank you for anything and everything you can do to help us reach our goal and please remember that "Love Wins"!!
