Two years ago I became a mother. It was a lifelong dream, and involved a lot of waiting. When I first saw the face of my Ugandan princess, Dorie, my heart knew. It just KNEW. Dorie has adjusted amazingly well. She is now 7 and the light of my life. We have really enjoyed becoming a family, but we both feel like someone is missing. God seems to agree with us, so we are heading back to adopt another Ugandan princess. As a single mom, this is a daunting task. Fundraising is exhausting, and it is time consuming. I don&'t want to spend a lot of time away from Dorie. I hate asking for money. I don&'t want anyone to feel obligated. But I have had several people approach me and ask if they could just donate cash rather than ordering from a fundraiser. So I searched out a way to at least make their donations tax deductible, and found AdoptTogether. I want to thank everyone who helped bring Dorie home…it was God&'s miracle, and you were His hands. I trust He is going to do it again, and am thankful for each and every one of you who share God&'s heart for the orphans. My family would not exist without you, and we are forever grateful. Much love, Melissa & Dorie
